Mason Springs Training Center is owned and operated by Marcus and Crystal Ryan in Montmorenci, South Carolina. They trained Private Creed, the 2022 & 2023 Aiken Trained Horse of the Year.

Horse racing is tough business. For an athlete to train day in and day out, to live up to the demands of being fit enough to fight for first, young Thoroughbreds need all the confidence and care that is crucial to emotional, mental, and physical soundness necessary to compete in this game.

The large pastures at Mason Springs give plenty of space for young growing horses to stretch their legs with full speed running room and good grazing. It is a work in progress but they count it as a blessing to be there and work alongside experienced, reliable and knowledgeable people who share their passion and love for the horse.

Join us for this exciting behind the scenes look at Mason Springs.

This program is for participants ages 12 (with an adult) and up.

Space is limited.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes.

Those taking part should meet at the Rye Patch parking lot, 100 Berrie Road, at 7:30 am and will be transported to the Aiken Training Track by mini-bus.

Registration and payment may be done at the H. O. Weeks Center, 1700 Whiskey Rd. Aiken, SC
