Race Comments: Start good from stall gate. Won driving, second and third same. Shut Out was under snug restraint for five-eighths and sent between the leaders with a rush to assume command, he was rated along steadily to the stretch turn, where he was roused and turned back the challenge of Alsab, then drew away slowly through the final eighth under urging. Alsab was taken under steady restraint in the first quarter and sent to the outside, he moved up fast after going five-eighths, then was steadied to the stretch turn. where he was roused, but failed to improve his position under pressure. Lochinvar, on the inside and a prominent factor, made a determined bid in the stretch, but hung at the finish. Trierarch was shuffled back rounding the turn into the backstretch and swerved over on Ramillies in the final eighth. The latter was under steady restraint early and tired at the end. Half Crown was
unable to keep up. Top Milk was under pressure after going five-eighths and was not persevered with when he quit.
