Race Comments: STAGE DOOR JOHNNY, steadied during the run to the initial turn, was steered out slightly after settling in the backstretch, moved up willingly there after while under superb handling and responding courageously when set down in the drive, took command from FORWARD PASS at the furlong pole and won going away. FORWARD PASS, away alertly, saved ground while setting the pace under steady rating, disposed of CALL ME PRINCE before entering the stretch and held on determinedly during the drive but was unable to withstand STAGE DOOR JOHNNY while easily best of the others. CALL ME PRINCE saved ground and raced in nearest attendance to FORWARD PASS until the mile then weakened. DRAFT CARD in hand until the last three-eighths made a mild bid at the stretch turn but tired. ARDOISE lacked early foot and could not reach serious contention. CHOMPION never dangerous had no mishap. SIR BEAU has early speed but failed to stay. T.V. COMMERCIAL dropped back immediately after the start. JADE AMICOL tired after showing early speed and raced wide approaching and entering the stretch.
